A great starting point for information on VRML
The VRML site Magazine
Another good site for VRML information.

Requirements:

System:

Pentium II 350
64 meg Ram
16 meg Graphics accelerator card

Plug-in:
To view the 3D models you require a VRML plug-in for your Internet browser software. Below are links to the better known and popular plug-in, both of which are available for free download.

CosmoPlayer (Win95/98/ME, Mac)
This plug-in is a little dated now, but still one of the most stable. I personally have had no sucess with the Mac version.

Blaxxum (Win95/98/ME)
A newer plug-in which features hardware support for graphics acceleration. It is required for 3D visits to Cybertown, a good place to start learning more about on-line 3D communities.

OpenVRLM OpenVRML is a VRML 97 browser for the Mac OS by Chris Morley. As I am not a Mac users I can say no more than this.
